Image Usage Policy

Last updated: April 19, 2026

Outfit Trends (outfittrends.com) publishes visual fashion, style, and lifestyle content. This Image Usage Policy explains where the images on our website come from, how we attempt to credit them, and what you can do if you believe an image has been used incorrectly.

1. Sources of images we publish

The images displayed on Outfit Trends fall into one of the following categories:

  • Original photography and graphics created by our editorial team or contributing writers.
  • Licensed stock imagery purchased or subscribed to from providers such as Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Getty Images, Depositphotos, Unsplash+, and similar services, used in accordance with each provider’s license terms.
  • Free-to-use imagery from sources that grant free editorial or commercial use (for example Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay), used in line with their published licenses.
  • AI-generated imagery created using generative tools to illustrate concepts, styling ideas, or hairstyles. Where an image is AI-generated and the context is not already obvious, we aim to note this in the caption or nearby text.
  • Publicly shared social media images (for example from Instagram, Pinterest, or TikTok) embedded through the original platform’s embed code so the original post remains linked to the creator.
  • Press and PR imagery supplied by brands, designers, or their representatives for editorial coverage.
  • Images used under fair use / fair dealing for reporting, review, criticism, or educational commentary.

2. Credit and attribution

We make a good-faith effort to credit original creators. Where a photographer, brand, or publication is known to us, we add a caption or link to the source. Where images are sourced from stock libraries, crediting is typically governed by the library’s license rather than being shown inline.

If you are a creator whose image appears on our site without credit you believe is owed, please contact us (see Section 6 below) and we will either add credit, replace the image, or remove it.

3. Reuse of images from Outfit Trends

Unless an image is clearly marked as belonging to Outfit Trends or its team, we generally do not own the images we display — they are licensed or used under permissions that do not extend to third-party reuse. You should not assume that because an image appears on Outfit Trends you are free to republish it.

Original photography and graphics created by Outfit Trends remain our property. If you wish to reuse any original Outfit Trends image, you must request written permission in advance.

4. Pinterest, Instagram and other social sharing

You are welcome to pin, share, or embed our articles through the official share tools on social platforms. When pinning, please ensure the pin links back to the original article on outfittrends.com rather than to the image file alone. Downloading our images and re-uploading them to your own account, website, or product listing is not permitted without written permission.

5. Reporting an image concern (DMCA and general)

If you believe an image on Outfit Trends infringes your copyright, or that credit or licensing has been handled incorrectly, please send us:

  • The exact URL(s) of the page(s) where the image appears.
  • A description of the image and proof of your ownership (for example, the original file, a portfolio link, or a copyright registration).
  • Whether you are requesting removal, correction of credit, or replacement.
  • Your contact details.

We aim to act on good-faith notices within a reasonable timeframe. Formal DMCA takedown procedures are described on our DMCA Disclaimer page.
